包BAOSTOOL

The form of paper.
A place in everyday life.

From familiar packaging to another possibility for furniture.

01 / ORIGIN

To wrap. To make room.

The language of packaging.
The idea of furniture.

BAO begins with the continuous surfaces of paper-pulp packaging, bringing a familiar form to the scale of everyday furniture.

Four rounded legs, gently concave sides and a softly contoured seat meet in one sculptural silhouette.

CONTINUOUS CURVES

Four curves.
One continuous form.

The surfaces meet at the corners, then extend down into four legs. Each viewpoint keeps the form complete, quiet and soft.

02 / FORM & USE

A removable lid. A little room within.
BAO Stool opening and rotating, with a detachable lid and catches along its four edges
DETACHABLE LID / 360° ROTATION

Beyond a seat,
a little space.

The lid separates from the base and connects through catches along four edges. Beneath the seat, a small central space is conceived for keys, a card holder and other everyday objects.

Width × depth × maximum seat height
430 × 430 × 450 mm

A LITTLE ROOM

Open the form.
Find a place within.

A modest storage space sits within the complete outer form, bringing a small everyday gesture into the same silhouette.

03 / MATERIAL & LIGHT

Paper-pulp material exploration

The texture of paper.
The expression of a curve.

Paper pulp is the direction of material exploration: fine fibres, subtle irregularities and matte tones considered at the scale of furniture.

The intent is to retain an irregular surface texture, allowing light from one side to gently reveal the form.

04 / CONCEPT COLOURS

Colour study

Three tones.
The same silhouette.

The natural character of paper, the warmth of terracotta, the quiet of moss.
